3 PEOPLE FOUND DEAD IN SPRUCE GROVE HOUSE, 2 WERE CHILDREN

WATCH ABOVE: Global News has confirmed the bodies of three people found in a Spruce Grove, Alta. home on Monday were those of a father and his two sons. Sarah Kraus has the latest.

Two boys and their father were found dead inside a Spruce Grove, Alta. home Monday, a family member confirmed to Global News.

The bodies discovered inside the home were those of Corry MacDougall and his sons, 13-year-old Ryder MacDougall and 11-year-old Radek MacDougall, Global News confirmed through multiple sources.

Brent Stark, the boys’ stepfather, spoke to Global News Monday evening. He said it was he and the boys’ mother who discovered the bodies and called police. He also said he believes Corry killed his sons.
“A coward of a dad took his life and took his own boys’ lives,” he said. “It’s excruciating. These are two good, young men that come from the town of Whitecourt, it’s a small community. Everybody loved them.”

“These boys were young. They were determined. They were mama’s boys. They were two young men growing up the way they should grow up, beautiful souls.”

Stark added the boys were enthusiastic hockey players who were dedicated to their family, sports and their education.

RCMP are investigating the deaths and say the 911 call came from a family member.

“We responded to a 911 call here at the house this morning at approximately 10:30 a.m.,” RCMP Cpl. Kim Mueller said.

Police tape could be seen around a house on Haney Court Monday morning, and blocked off a section of the street.
